Located near the Shuishie Tunnel on Provincial Highway 21, the Xiangshan Administration and Visitor Center is right next to Sun Moon Lake. It was designed by the internationally renowned Japanese architect, Norihiko Dan.
The central idea behind the design was to integrate the buildings with the existing landscape, seeking harmony with nature. The roofs of the two buildings are configured at different heights, allowing visitors to use the slanted rooftops or the wide, semi-open spaces to take in views of Sun Moon Lake.
